Keltic does not try to be all
things to all people. We believe in doing what we do well and
concentrating on our core business. Keltic got its start in
the Refrigerated business and we continue to move goods in both TL
and LTL quantities for many of the most recognizable manufacturers,
distributors, and retailers in the business. This includes
both fresh and frozen food products. Our Dry Van division is
our largest, and we are proud to be the carrier of choice for TL
and LTL moves for the top names who supply hardware and building
supplies, general merchandise and consumer goods, office furniture,
packaging and paper products. Keltic Flat Bed division
specializes in the movement of specialty lumber products and
building materials and is often involved in construction projects
where various types of commodities are sourced.
Keltic’s head office has 20,000 square feet of temperature
controlled warehouse space for rent or lease. Finally, Keltic
Logistics, with offices in Moncton, Dartmouth, N.S., and Oakville,
ONT., has developed a solid base of carrier partners throughout
North America and can handle LTL to TL, expedited or regular,
refrigerated or dry, domestic or international, air and ocean
shipments.
Keltic Logistics
The logistics division of Keltic has shown
considerable growth due to our ability to provide companies with a
combination of our own equipment, and reputable partner carriers
who share the same core values for service at a fair price.
This allows us to provide complete coverage throughout North
America, from LTL to full loads, dry or refrigerated, international
freight forwarding (air and ocean), flat bed, over dimensional,
expedited service, etc. By offering a logistics solution,
customers can be assured seasonal peaks in volume can be handled
easily by the Keltic team. No need to worry that we
don’t have a piece of equipment in a certain location at a
specific time. Our Logistics personal have the expertise,
contacts, and determination to make things happen. We pay our
carrier partners in a timely fashion, ensuring a consistent supply
of equipment is available when needed. We endeavour to
contract C-TPAT approved carriers when possible, ensuring high
security measures are maintained at all times when handling your
shipments. Most importantly, we take complete responsibility
for your
shipments.

Refrigerated
Service
Since our inception, Keltic has developed and maintained a solid
reputation for the transportation of fresh and frozen food
items. This includes fresh potatoes, seafood, produce, meat,
poultry, dairy, and cheese products, frozen bakery items, french
fries, and chilled juices to name a few. Our temperature
controlled trailers are washed and disinfected frequently to ensure
cleanliness. Keltic has developed a reputation for having
some of the cleanest equipment on the road…something we take
pride in. Each trailer is equipped with a Carrier Reefer
Unit. Its’ advanced micro processor controller is
capable of providing time specific printouts on temperature
readings while your load is in transit.
Dry Van & Heated
Service
Keltic’s Van division comprises just under 100 trucks and
operates throughout North America. In addition to full loads,
we also handle multiple pick-up and drop loads. Most
recently, we have expanded to include LTL between Ontario and the
Maritimes and to and from the USA. We also have the ability
to handle dangerous goods within Canada only. Flexibility
allows us to supply special services such as drop trailers,
scheduling by appointments, heated service during winter months,
and cross docking. We can accommodate almost any request and
this flexibility has led to extra-ordinary growth in our van
division. Keltic is proud to have the some of the most
prominent retailers of general merchandise, hardware, and building
materials, in Canada as our clients. We have developed a
strong relationship with the Peat Moss Industry in New Brunswick
over the years and are fortunate to have several growers as
clients.
Air &
Ocean
Keltic has partnered with an International Freight Forwarder to
expand it’s service offerings. This partnership allows Keltic
customers to ship their goods by air or sea anywhere in the world,
with the confidence they will receive the same exceptional service
they have come to expect. We offer air services in Export
& Import door-to-door, direct handling on 6 continents and our
partner owned and operates over 300 terminals worldwide. We also
expanded our business to ocean cargo services which able us to
offer cargo booking, equipment positioning, documentation banking
services (Letters of Credits), less then Container Load (LCL), full
Container Loads in 20’, 40’, 40’ High Cube,
refrigerated containers, break bulk and project cargo.

LTL
Known for our outstanding people, clean modern equipment and
leading edge technology, Keltic now offers regularly scheduled
“dry van” LTL service between the Maritime Provinces
and the Greater Toronto area and South Western Ontario. In
addition, Keltic has established partnerships with quality carriers
who provide LTL services between the Greater Toronto Area and the

Flat Bed
Service
Keltic’s Flat Bed Division specializes in the movement of
building materials and pressure treated lumber. In addition,
we are heavily involved in various construction projects, hauling
freezer panels, specialty steel and pipe, machinery, racking,
pre-fabricated buildings, roofing, insulation, and various other
commodities. Keltic’s flat bed drivers have
considerable experience with special handling requirements such as
tarping and securing loads. We have also established working
relationships with several flat bed carriers who can provide
additional equipment and expertise to compliment our
fleet.
Warehousing
Keltic’s head office is located in the Caledonia Industrial
Park, Moncton, New Brunswick. We are positioned on the Trans
Canada Highway off MacNaughton Avenue. Moncton is considered
the “Hub of the Maritimes” because it is located within
a 2 hour drive to most major cities within the 3 Maritime provinces
(New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island). Our state
of the art warehouse is approximately 20,000 square feet, with 7
dock level doors, racking for short or long term storage, and is
temperature controlled. This facility, constructed in 2008,
is equipped with a modern security system and fenced yard with
electronic gates that meet C-TPAT standards. If you’re

Our Fleet
We are proud of the reputation we have developed for operating a
clean and professional fleet. This stems from our commitment
to purchase or lease late model equipment and a promise to ensure
we maintain this equipment to meet the best industry
standards. Keltic values the business relationships we have
formed with our truck, engine, trailer and tire suppliers over the
years. We are loyal to our suppliers and they are loyal
towards Keltic. We purchase or lease our tractors and operate
them for no longer than 48 months. The average age of our
tractor fleet is 2 years. This ensures our drivers operate
well maintained, safe equipment. Our trailers, which we
lease, are kept in service no longer than 60 months. We have
a full service preventive maintenance program in place that ensures
minimal breakdowns and quality equipment to transport our customers
goods. Our equipment is washed on a regular basis, ensuring a
clean and professional image in the marketplace.
Keltic’s fleet consists of approximately 150 highway tractors
and over 200 trailers. We operate 53 foot dry van, heater,
refrigerated, and flat bed trailers. We follow a thorough
truck and trailer maintenance program and believe in the philosophy
of preventive maintenance. We also have in place a North
American service network for our trucks, trailers, and tires.
This ensures any downtime due to breakdown on the road is kept to a
minimum.
Technology
Providing information in a timely and accurate manner is critical
to our customers and an area that Keltic continues to spend
finances and devote resources towards. Keltic operates with
the TMW Suite Operations System. This provides us with order
entry, dispatch, and planning capabilities. Each of our
trucks is equipped with Shaw Tracking satellite units. This
allows for instant communication with our drivers. Most
recently, Keltic purchased the Microdea imaging software
system. This new imaging system gives customers the ability
to retrieve documents such as proof of deliveries directly off our
website. In addition, we can provide clients with E-STAT
capability for online customer interaction and reports.
Information that customers benefit from to better understand their
business such as volumes, on time pick-up and delivery performance,
claims information, etc., is available via E-STAT through
Keltic’s website.
